Pneu-Dart Type 'C' disposable darts are .50 caliber and are designed to provide precise drug delivery in a convenient, inexpensive projectile. These darts are appropriate for use on small or large animals. Color-coded in orange, Type C darts are best used with our cartridge projectors. Note: The .5cc, 1cc, and 1.5cc 'C' and 'P' appear to be identical, but the 'C' dart has a slightly larger diameter tail for use in our cartridge-fired rifles.
Poly Dart
Pneu-Dart has fortified its plastic dart body by transitioning over to clear polycarbonate resin. Equipped with a color coded polypropylene type 'C' or type 'P' tail, the new PolyCarb dart is ballistically equal and structurally superior. (Poly dart only available in .5cc - 1.5cc darts.)
How They Work
Type C and P darts each contain a small explosive charge which detonates on impact and quickly injects the drug. The 1cc dart will typically bounce off the animal, but because of the small quantity of liquid, the injection will be complete. As an added feature, the dart will flash when the explosive detonates, a real help in poor light or shadows.
